In my opinion it’s always worth it to be prepared for any scenario. For me it becomes an automatic factor in my everyday life. I can remember the days going to Santo Domingo with associates and since the main road is so close to the rocky waters called the Malacon, I used to mentally prepare in each vehicle an escape route if we happened to go over. I would first see if the windows were electric or manual, up or down but usually up since its so hot, figure out the nearest escape routes from the vehicle once submerged and who to drag out with me on the first go. Am I crazy for preparing all the time? Absolutely not and while I never had to do a rescue from a submerged vehicle in the DR, had I had to chances are I would be the one who is still breathing today unless of coarse the rocks knocked me out on the way down which is always a possibility.
Will something most likely happen where prepping will come in handy
At this point there are so many variables that something is likely to happen and happen soon. Very little of what this administration has done and is doing is unsustainable and anything from Inflation, collapse or war is possible all of which prepping would actually do a family good. If inflation hits which I feel will be one of the first things to hit as the current play is feeding everyone how good the numbers are on paper. The economy is doing good, jobs are improving, home sales are up and foreclosures are down and the rest of the story. They keep feeding this and then soon enough you will get one or two of these “well we feel the economy has improved so much that we will feel some interest raising is in order.”
Living in the clouds with Apple as your best friend
For a large majority of people prepping does not work for more than a day or two. Like me if you are in a metropolitan area with thousands of people all around, those same people that could care less who they voted for or those same people that call you crazy for prepping, you know the ones I mean. They surround us each and everyday with an I-phone attached to their heads, living in a cloud and trusting the same people that feed them garbage and untruths each and everyday. Those that feel government knows better and will protect me, those that feel the backwash of power this country has always had and continued to stay strong militarily for so long. These very same people are the ones that will be in trouble when the time comes there is no food around or they cannot pay their electric bill.
These people will be hungry and need to feed there kids, depending on where you live most likely these people will compulsively band together in search of food, they will break down the doors of neighbors, and while extremely unintelligent the hunger and the hungry children will make them become highly aggressive in search of foods. Even if you have weapons and your family has learned how to protect themselves, there will be an overwhelming amount of people in the streets that will have most likely already broken your door.
When prepping works best
It’s great to know how to hunt for food which most people will not, it’s great to be able to have a garden or grow your own food which most people again will not. Prepping works best in rural areas where masses of people will not be starving close by. You may have those starving in the rural areas also but at least not enough that you couldn’t protect from.
