In the recent months Brazil has announced the upcoming plans for the new BRICS internet system. A system that would essentially be separate from the current system that is shared worldwide. There are several reasons for the upcoming change starting with the development of the new currency system that will challenge and have a massive effect on the real valuation of the US dollar and any currency that will continue to be backed by the US dollar.
The second reason is the announced U.S. spying program by the NSA, the BRICS countries want a free internet for all involved without the possibilities of government spying. Another possible reason in my opinion is the recent handover of the American controlled internet to undisclosed party most likely the UN which will probably attempt to impose taxes on the recently transferred American internet system which will be a tremendous detriment to American and western business that use the internet for their small and large business. if that is the case, it will be inevitable that American business transfers over to the BRICS system.
Why a separate BRICS internet system will be a good thing
First off being in the internet business a huge problem today is having to deal with spam, spam that comes from countries that will be in the BRICS new system and essentially blocked out of the American internet system. It will eliminate the massive amounts of spam and foreign hacking that goes on today. These issues account for wasted time daily, massive amounts of additional security measures and really suck. For those of us that don’t sell or do any business with BRICS countries, it will be a relief to get rid of the excessive headaches involved. However it will not eliminate the current spying program of the USA if it has one in effect on American and western Internet.
Second good thing that might come out of a separate system for the west is the fact that most small online businesses sell nationally and rarely internationally and even so much less likely to sell to these particular countries. Sure there will be a small percentage that do only export or have percentages of there business sales going to BRICS nations that will ultimately lose, but in reality it is a small percentage and that will become a problem for them. Perhaps they will have the ability to join or simply have to move to a BRICS country to have that internet access.
This change will essentially be similar to a reverse NAFTA and while we understand that moving backwards will take away from the free world and seem almost like a nationalism move, this particular one really has little recourse aside from the big businesses that feed off of BRICS daily, but most of those have headquartered elsewhere to avoid the massive western taxes imposed by governments in need of easy money, rather then allowing business to freely flow and create revenue the natural capitalist way.
The plan of changing the internet system had to be done in order to accommodate the new planned BRICS currency which will have a detrimental effect on the USA and the US dollar will essentially crash and become a nationalized western currency. China has destroyed the US with cheap products and toxic foods for so long, it will be interesting to see how the west fares without them moving forward. Another thing to note is the fact that the BRICS countries are known for the far higher corruption rates and are constantly under citizen pressure for that. Look at the recent protests for the last couple years in Brazil alone. Perhaps the BRICS will be a massive failure of epic proportions.
